With momentary contact closure to an LD11 you should get the module to
ramp up to the last level that the module was set to from 0% (off) and
the same would happen in reverse for off IIRC.

You can get local control and make the module behave any way you like
but only by using a Leviton switch, which is what I did in three
locations. They are really small X10 transmitters and have proved really
good but there are downsides. One is that they are US sized so a
standard backbox cannot be used and the other is it needs a neutral.
