RE: Cat 5 Pinouts



Safety from BT is easy because you can only ever physically use a max of 6
wires, though only 2/3 are actually needed.  Safety from blowing up your
hub
is more problematic as I think all 8 are wired, though only 4 used.
Besides, when you get Keiths Krazy Kat5 modules, switch etc (as u
inevitably
will) then all 8 lines will DEFINITELY be used, so the short answer is:
Don't mix them up! :)
