I have a number of these brass switches and I agree that they are not cheap but they are really nice. I have one single brass, one stainless steel effort and a four gang brass one. The four gang was about £120 but it was to go in an oak panelled hallway so there were no real alternatives.The original was brass also but was damaged in parts.

Paul - did you look at the brass momentary switches on letsautomate.com ?? (not cheap though)
