Ray, I'd have thought the Rabbit option was a no-brainer. Getting a
web interface to comfort working with Rabbit took no time at all,
doing a thermostat web interface would be a doddle. The dev kit
comprises: docs, a C compiler/downloader and dev board which just has
a 5V power supply and TTL->RS232 level shifter. If you can buy the
compiler separately, you don't really need the dev board itself.
Only downer for a thermostatic application is the Rabbit's lack of on-
board A to D.
