Also a newbie; I investigated all sorts of alarm systems, including
Comfort. One reason I didn't go that way was that I already have a
PABX installed. Instead, I went for the Visonic Powermax which offers
reasonable X-10 control (7 addresses) as well as 30 individually
identifiable zones (29 wireless, 1 wired).
I'm still learning about its capabilities, and juggling with the
multitude of ways I can configure the whole system (including have
the computer call the alarm via the PABX to arm it if I've fogotten,
etc)
If you want more details, email me off the list.
