As Kevin already knows (he very kindly helped me out), I've been
badly burnt.
Could I add a couple of extra bits of advice to his excellent set of
instructions:
- Don't be seduced; if *any* of his recommendations don't follow
through, just walk away. There is always another "bargain" just
around the corner.
- Be aware that 192.com isn't completely infallible. If someone is so
inclined, it's relatively easy to falsify an entry, and entries taken
from the electoral roll are always inherently out of date in any
case. It's a useful confirmation that things _might_ be ok, but
little more than that.
