A couple of months ago, Mark posted some info on the site about the
Avstar product from Smart-e Ltd.

Seems to do similar things to Keiths KAT5 products...i.e, whole house
video distribution from a single source.

I was well interested in this package, as it looked to be everything
I wanted....central location for Sky, DVD, CCTV etc, and then upto 8
zones all over Cat5.

Thing is, this was supposed to be released by the end of February,
and still no word. The website hasn't been updated for months, and
everytime I speak to Smart-E they say they have sent details out to
me.

Anyone know anything about this ? I am just completing some room
rebuilds with lots of Cat5, but neglected to install any CT100, as I
wasn't going to pipe video feeds over it. Now I'm starting to get a
bit worried,,,all replastering,,,if I tell the Mrs I didn't install
the coax, then I may as well leave the country now.

So if Avstar doesn't get released,,,can the same be replicated with
KAT5....i.e Sky etc from one location piped to about 5 zones with
Remote Control feedback, and CCTV hookup.

Should I be putting in the CT100 now, just in case ?

Ideas anyone ?

Many Thanks
