I use an older Armada 7800 and the base also gets very hot. So much so the
pc has shutdown a couple of times. Unfortunately it is not a hibernation or
similar it just shuts down no matter what you are doing.

If anyone has a manual for this or can advise where to see one online, i
would be grateful as my IM dept keep telling me they threw them out.
Usually
they put a standard build on them, but as i like to toy with ibuttons, 1
wire and different analysis packages, I removed it from IM control, so I
can
do what I want with it.
