Keith,

I look forward to that day! I have watched with great interest the KAT5
project and all I can say is you're a star, I bet we all look forward to
"acquiring" patch panels ;o)

KAT5 should be launched by MAY.

I just need to get the end panels back from the engineering works and get
the details on the website. Then its a few evenings and weekends sniffing
solder fumes.

Andy,

Nothing stupid at all, however the line-out can, in my view, only go a
couple of meters.

This means that you can split zones, but keep both amps together, which is
a
sound improvement on your current setup, but lacks a certain convenience.

Alternatively, you could get a "Krazy Keith" balanced line sender
to take
the line input down/upstairs...

... on that subject, does anyone have a launch date?

Mark

My "whole house audio" currently consists of speaker cables
trailing
throughout, but I'm considering splitting the upstairs and downstairs into
two with a line-out going into a second amp. I can control volume etc
separately then.

Questions:

1. Anything obviously stupid about this setup?
2. How far can a line-out signal be sent? (thinking of using the cassette
line-out).

Thanks

Andy
