Can someone give me a line to feed to the bank manager that is plausible
and
he will reckon this is a good thing to do? :o)

Yeah - £2.8k new.

Personally, I'm after a Chord Power Amp next, then a processor as the
following step.

I have a "mix" of components, in various systems, since I've
never sold a
component when upgrading. The odd one has broken, mind, normally CD
players,
particularly in my student days when they would get moved long distances
every couple of months in the ongoing return journey that is college
to/from
parents.

I think they'reabout £2.8k new are they not...

...the "problem" is that being upgradeale then they tend to
remain current.
Unfortunately this means that their second hand availability is pretty much
negligable at the moment.
