Nigel,

I use Homeseer to do this. I set the light to come on in the morning and
increase by 10% every minute until it is fully lit after 10 minutes. I'm
not
sure if you use Homeseer but this solution works for me. Except the other
day the light switch exploded while my wife was *just waking up* - I got a
hell of a phone call at work and thought that was the end of HA!!
