*sigh* Yeah ... I just bought my first house about 4 months ago and moved
in
with my fiancee and son. We had already agreed that bedroom 4 would be my
"computer room" as neither of us wanted a computer downstairs in
the main
rooms and I certainly didn't want PC kit in the bedroom ... upon moving in
we discover that the 4th bedroom has only two single mains outlets!
After some rewiring, installation of additional sockets and judicious (but
safe - i.e. no daisychains) use of 6 and 8 way trailing sockets I now have
41 outlets - all fused, switched and protected by their own circuit breaker
at the main box. I only have about 8 spare outlets left at the moment
though!
I now have to begin the same process in my garage ... I'm converting that
into a home theatre. I reckon need at least 12-14 sockets as a minimum and
will probably on top of that add a minimum of a pair of seperate X10 dimmed
lighting rings for table/floorstanding lamps!
Cheers
Phil

I didn't but a quick scan of usenet found some posts - juls@xxxxxxx
Should do the job, mine runs every think in my play den. 2 aswering
machines, 3 pcs and monitors, laser printer, office jet 3-in-1, numerous
wall-wart psu, 2 strip lights, HA kit, the soldering iron & scope(when
in
use) and today a 400w heater as the only spare socket is on the UPS. Thats
16 sockets in an 8x11 room and still not enough.
Steve.
