All current iPAQs are the same, despite the fact that Compaq assign two
model numbers to it (H3630 & H3650) depending on the marketing channel.
There is a whole website devoted to handhelds and Linux
(http://www.handhelds.org). There
you would find everything you need for
running Linux on the iPAQ. There are even discussions on using the iPAQ as
processing unit for a "wearable" computer.

Yes, except that the PC card jacket is almost as hard to find as the iPAQ
itself at the moment. A slightly better version would be iPAQ + CF +
802.11.
