But not with a STATIC image.

When colour TV first came out there were major screenburn problems with TV
shops showing the colour testcard for hours on end. BBC2 was the only thing
in colour at first and programs werent on during the day. They started
showing "Trade Test" films so that dealers would have something
to show.

I particularly used to like the one where the guy restored or build a
replica vintage car. Cant remember the detail too much as I was only 7 at
the time.

Another was an electrical safety film called "SIDE" about working
on high
voltage equipment.

Switch Off
Isolate
Dump the charge
Earth

Damn.... wandered off again :-))

Fair enough...but surely that just means it will take that bit longer to
effect a telly. I'd hazzard a guess my TVs on for about 50-100 hours for
every on the projector is.
