My name is David Lindel=F6f and I have done my PhD on the topic of
building automation, more specifically on the topic of optimizing
visual comfort by analyzing the users' behaviour.

I encourage you to pursue this academic trail, as there is still a lot
to figure out in this field. We do not really understand very well the
mechanisms of visual and/or thermal comfort and there's a lot of
research going on there.

I did my thesis at the Solar Energy and Building Physics Laboratory
(http://leso.epfl.ch/) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Feel free to mention
my name if you contact them for any open positions. You can also see
some of my publications here (http://www.visnet.ch/smartbuildings/
publications/) and my thesis can be found here (http://library.epfl.ch/
theses/?nr=3D3918)

Feel free to contact me directly for more information.

Cheers,
