UR51A X-10 Remote
Does anyone know anything about this remote? It's allegedly for the MP3
Anywhere kit. I came across one today, and although it's identical to the
8-in-1 remote physically, the label on the back says "MP3 Remote Model
UR51A - For use with M26A receiver"" and the inside label says "X1005"
instead of the more usual P1024 for models of that era (Jan 2000, according
to the date code). The label also gives a different FCC code for the UR51A:
B4SUR47A. The code for the UR24A is B4SUR23A.
There were a number of messages in Google from people who had bought the kit
but got a remote different than that pictured in the X-10 ads, but alas, no
actual pictures turned up. Searches for the manual at the X-10 site reveal
nothing but dead links.
It seems to me they either slapped the wrong label on this remote or they
had designed MP3 Anywhere with a different one and then switched to this
model because of some glitch.
