4 speakers to 1 volume control

I have volume controls that are imdepence matched.  Can I run 4
speakers off one control, since the room is rather large?  I would not
be going outside the max number of speakers per the volume control (can

work with up to 8 pairs).  If not, is there another way without putting

2 volume controls in the same room?  Thanks.
