That's an even better way to determine if the GFCI is the problem!

Unfortunately, manufacturers often change their design in midstream.  I have
virtually identical APS UPS's but one's a signal sink, the other's not.
Same with CFL bulbs.  But at least it's a good start knowing which equipment
has worked for other people.
