I don't condone what "Group Moderator" has done in a number of Newsgroups in
which Robert posts useful information.  It seems to me he's (Moderator's)
like the famous "Peter" in the "Peter and the Wolf" story.  In addition,
styling himself as a "Group Moderator" does little else but raise the
"hackles" which (if you think objectively) it's designed to do.  As for mine
own past behaviour, I can only plead "guilty".  Robert tends to rub certain
people the wrong way a lot of times (he's not much different from "Group
Moderator" in this respect).  He's also deliberately lied and libelled
people (including myself).  This doesn't do much toward making me feel
better about the things I've said though.  Never-the-less, those days are
long gone (as far as I'm concerned).  The fact that Robert can't "let go"
(and continues to use lies, misleading statements and innuendo in attacks
against his detractors) is a matter for his own conscience.

I would still caution anyone contemplating making a purchase from any online
merchant to do their "due diligence".  In my experience, Robert's prices
aren't all that much different from Smarthome, Norco, or any of the other
online merchants I see mentioned here frequently.  One thing I know for
certain is that you'll never see any of the aformentioned companies making
excuses like Robert has in the thread entitled "Bass Alarms" in
alt.security.alarms though (which incidentally sparked off the latest
"Wolf!" warnings).
