ActiveHome Pro Macro operation

Have x10 Activehome pro and tried to set up my first macro.  The macro
works fine when its run automatically and when you click on it via
software but will not trigger using a controller although you can see
the macro activate on the screen.  Controller(s) will work the modules
just not the macro.  Anyone please have any ideas, documentation
provides little assistance
