Re: A question or two about WGL's V572A
I _know_ they need it. WGL also knows they need it and deliberately chose
not to do the required testing (it's costly). Should the FCC ever start
enforcing their rules again, Mr. Lohoff will be making license plates and
all of his distributors will be bankrupt.
And, no, receivers do not require registration. They do require testing by
an FCC approved lab under the "Declaration of Conformity" or "Certification"
sections of the FCC Part 15 rules. Only transmitters require certification
and an FCC ID number (which I assume is what you mean by "registration). The
testing requirements are more or less the same but identification and
documentation requirements differ.
