If the system doesn't totally lose power and then power returns, the micro =
processor can come back on line with a "scramble" memory. Remove power (bot=
h AC and battery) let it sit for a few minutes, then reapply power, AC firs=
t and battery quickly afterwards. The system should come back up with all s=
ystems normal except it will show you a low battery. If the battery was in =
decent shape before the power failure, it may take 24 hours or more for it =
to recharge so you may have to press the reset button a few times until it =
recharges. If the battery wasn't in good shape, then you'll have to replace=
 it if it doesn't recharge.
