With the keypad being held to the backplate with two tiny plastic tabs on the top and secured with one screw on the bottom... which took pressure off of the two tabs and made the keypad loose on the wall. I've seen many of these keypads where the top two tabs have broken off, leaving the keypad attached with only a single screw.

Something about when the 433 Mhz wireless contacts first came out and there was a good chance it wouldn't work out of the box. On the other hand, I prefer DSC equipment over Ademco, GE, 2gig, etc. No experience with Napco or the other "older" brands.

DSC transmitters are crap, crap, crap. Coverage is flaky at best.

ITI or GE is good, but too expensive, and the tamper switches have a
high failure rate.

Napco...forget Napco. They make too few wireless products to even bother
with it.

In my experience Honeywell by far makes the most reliable and widest
selection of wireless products. I have 64 zones on my Vista50PEN panel.
Not a hiccup in 8 years now. Battery life averages 2-3+ years. I buy
bulk batteries on ebay for $1.00 each. Energizer & Duracell just cost
too much in the long run. They don't last any long than the bulk
batteries I buy. Just make sure the batteries you buy have date codes
printed on them.
