I won't get into the long drawn out technical version of why this
happens...but you have three options.
ADSL is very unpredictable.
1. Try changing out the Router at the customers site (I have had great
success with SMC Routers)
2. Usually for an extra 5 bucks a month, the customer can get a static
IP address. (this helps contact with DNS for routing)
3. And lastly; if signals are A-critical: consider using GSM as an
alternate form of communication.

I can give you my sales pitch that the customer is never told; if you
would like. (I've been using the Internet/Network signal routing since
99')
Been there; done it; seen it. (it's much more reliable in the
Commercial Market, due to Guaranteed UP services.)
