I don't think they'd have any trouble doing those today.  The jokes weren't
racist.  They poked fun at the racism itself.  The real problem would be
marketing.  Lately it seems as though the only thing that really sells is
billion-mile-an-hour graphics.  I caught little bit of "Transformers" recently.
What the heck???  My friend's son was watching it on my TV.  After a couple of
minutes I walked away.  I'd sooner watch paint dry.
