I have seen many businesses succeed because the owners have a very strong
work ethic. They work 14 hour days. They get everything done which needs to
be done.

They are not necessarily smart, but "workhorses".

This is as opposed to "lazy people" who put off work they should be doing to
watch TV instead or do something fun. The work does not get done and the
business goes down the tubes with a quickness.

And successful business people can set priorities. Work comes before
pleasure. Bills must be paid before taking a profit from the business. Etc.

And the successful business will go to extremes to keep their customers
happy. It is important to them that each customer is satisfied. Good old
customer care - the customer is boss, etc. (Then these happy customers
highly recommend the business to their friends and the business grows.)

Simple things, nothing smart about that...
