Mark isn't baiting anyone, Robert wants to push obsolete dongles that
no other brand requires

Exactly, nothing has changed nor will it

Robert primarily knows some Napco, he just doesn't know how to do what
a vast majority of Napco installers know how to do which is keypad
programming. To have THAT big of a gap in knowledge of a product is
inexcusable in my opinion.
Judging by what I've seen here over the years he doesn't know much at
all about the other brands, remember he gets a list of products from
his distributor so in some cases he doesn't know he even sells
products he lists on his page (like carpet snakes)

The PC1864 is not intended to go up against the high-end of Elk or
Napco, it was made to replace the PC5020 and PC4010, it's a mid-market
panel. The higher-end Vista, Caddx and DSC panels compare very well
with Napco and are much easier and faster to program be they by
download or keypad programming. Every panel can do something better
than the others.
Every manufacturer has the same types of product lines, high-mid-low-
end products but look at the market share, Honeywell's first, DSC's
second, GE's third and Napco's last

Or you can stick your head back in the sand... (... added for Jim)
