For those suffering a terminal illness then I believe in certain
circumstances the taking of ones own life makes the final exit as painless
and dignified as possible.

A clinic such as Dignitas in Switzerland  would probably be more comfortable
for the patient and less traumatic for those left behind  than a bridge
though.

Its one of those things that we can never be sure how we would react or deal
with unless we are unfortunate enough to find ourselves in a similar
situation.
