Re: Ademco 216

Its all nice that everyone in here thinks I wont upgrade a customer. All I
can do it throw the price to them of what its going to cost. I cant make
them do it. so When I tell the customer its going to be $550.00 for a new
system, or I can repair what you have when a replacement part or change them
to a keystation, and its only only 120.00, IF they choose to keep what they
have then thats what I have to go by. Im not going to force a customer to
change something they have and risk loosing them. This customer has been a
good one. Always pays on time, nice to deal with, and even had me change
over the system they have in a business they own. so... I try to keep
everyone happy. I would rather a new system be installed so its easier to
trouble shoot, better reporting formats etc... but I cant force anyone to do
something they do not. It kinda sucks that I came on this group and just
asked for help and then I get a hard time about it. Im sure I am not the
only one here who runs an alarm business who have customers who will not let
go of their old shit to save their life... But again.... I dont care...
because they are going to pay for it in the long run when service calls
start taking longer to trouble shoot....

oh... btw.. I have a few of these types of alarm system.... I have a
customers with an Ademco Deluxe 1000 control, a 340R out there, a
Dictograph alarm and an Ademco 508 fire system with the old 6 volt smoke
detectors... (I hate that system)

I give my customers options and then they choose.. Sometimes they choose the
way I would not have picked...
