To add to the comments already made to this thread, the only stumbling
block we encounter on panel upgrades is to ensure all the pull stations
are of the same type (i.e. single action or double action). Personally
I like the Edwards 270SPO. They're rugged units and will probably
outlast the building they're installed in (although a bit on the pricey
side).
In Canada, on systems with addressable pull stations they have to be of
the same manufacture as the common control. In other words, you can't
put a Mircom addressable pull on a Notifier panel (even though both
units are made by System Sensor). The ULC labels have to match for
compatibility.
