apparently the manfuacturing line has been shut down due to an
engineering issue?

Has anyone else heard about this?

If I was looking for a substitute, what have people used and can recommend?

the Honeywell ASC-SS1?

the GRI GB-551?

anyone? anyone? Bueller?
