Re: False alarms on home-security systems now carry bigger fines (Austin American-Statesman)
Even with the new rates, Austin's false alarm fines are still pretty low. If they started charging alarm companies for false alarms
there would be more of an uproar. Hartford, CT, tried that but the alarm association was able to convince them to change their
tack.
