Just got called into a 4 mil new"geo/eco/enviro friendly" automated
monster on Long Island's exclusive Asharoken- plagued by breakins/thefts
of stupid stuff like: wiring to automated window blinds, telephone Cat%
etc, they didn't touch the romex, service cable or Solar heat ground
wire, and Thank you plumbing is not 100% Cu -its the new poly stuff!
So making a long story short; homeowner calls my buddy (the new GC:
'cause the Architect couldn't handle the GC work he thought he was
qualified to do!- BUT made sure he got his %- even thought th joint
leaks in 10 locations thru the foundation) :he calls me to spec out a
"Temporary" portable Alarm and a "portable camera"!

JEEZ: you spend 4 million on a house with 6 geothermal wells, a 100K
wine cellar and the "Natural Grass Vegetative Roof System", Indoor
Gunite Pool with automated enclosure and FORGOT a Security System?

NO wait: Owner had Hired a "well know'" engineer/designer from NJ for
all the LOVO work-But he(mr e/d) says the Electrician should wire the
Smoke detector part of Mr Geniuses "Custom Integration System"! Now
turns out Elec did it but sent his bill to SmartHome 4X! Still Unpaid!

Gets better: I check him out for credentials in NY: NO Security and Fire
License for NYS and NO License from Suffolk County for LOVO work other
than Security! Lo and Behold bro checks him in his native land : yep-
you guessed it! NO NJ licenses either!
Of course 4 days of calls to him from new GC and nary a peep!
WELCOME TO MY NEW NIGHTMARE!
Inheriting OPP (other peoples piss) is a great feeling!
(PS this joint has been in the making for 2 full years!)
As my Towns most famous resident said: "There's a sucker born every minute!"
The sweetener is I'll probably get the rest of the nightmare and put
some hefty fines on Mr.Integrator in the process!
