What you're describing might be better accomplished using a home automation controller rather than a *security* system.  Take a look
at the ELK Products model ELK-M1G controller.  It offers UL-listed security and residential fire with full home automation
capabilities, Internet access and control (TCP/IP add-on card), telephone remote control (built-in functionality) and a whole bunch
more.
