Most of these trade organizations don't do anything to enforce their own
rules. All they care about is whether or not their members pay their dues.

It's like all these "service" organizations like Rotary, which are
supposed to be non-political, but in reality are mainly political
organizations in many cities. Rotary does nothing to discipline these
chapters, as long as they pay their dues the parent organization ignores
everything else.
