CSI Vigil - www.camacc.com - they have live demos of their "Hi-Def" setup (I
don't like the "Hi-Def" moniker, it's not properly used, just latching onto a
current buzzword).

I think it's 4CIF. Full specs are at http://www.iqeye.com/iqeye501.html Normal
analog capture runs at 640x480 to 704x480 or 740x480, depending on the capture
hardware... 1.3MP is 1280x1024. So yeah, it chews up a fair bit more disk space.

System I put in had one machine with a 500GB SATA-II drive and standard capture
card for the analog in-store cameras, and another box with a second 500GB drive
configured as network storage, and a dedicated dual-head video card specifically
for outputting a split-screen view to an LCD VGA monitor at the paypoint.
Pretty heady stuff. Fortunately drive space is getting cheap... 500GB drives
for a hair over $200.

Fine by me. Stripping RG-59 is a PITA and the stuff is way too stiff and unweildy.
