Sounds like a power surge problem check and make sure transformers are
correct voltage and and wattage
too small a transfmer can cuase overheating also check batterys and make
sure there good a battery going bad can drain down a system and cause batery
to overheat.
i have sevral nx 8 floating around for 5 years now no problem of course that
was before GE bought them and got into the act
