No state requires a license for telephone of Internet sales of alarm parts.

A significant portion of sales are made via phone -- not directly entered
online. Clients call and describe what they wish to protect, then ask for
help selecting a system. Other dealers have tried doing what I do and found
that this part of the time takes more time than they can spare from their
"brick 'n' mortar" alarm businesses. I believe Bob LaLonde and Bob Campbell
may have stated the same.

Yep.

Several others from this newsgroup expressed the same idea and found they
were wrong. Florida doesn't require a license to sell parts, with or
without advice, unless the company is selling on the client's premises or
doing actual installation or monitoring of systems withion the state of
Florida. Other states' laws are much the same. Otherwise, they would have
to license every Loews, Home Depot and Radio Shack salesman who ever spoke
to a customer about an alarm system, plumbing parts, electrical supplies,
etc. Though some here wish that was the case, it simply isn't.
