I don't like DIY but if it keeps the know-it-alls from calling my
office then more power to them.
Alot of guys here don't like how I market either but at the end of the
day I seriously don't give a shit. My responsibility is to feed my
family. I am not in this business to win a popularity contest.

You're trying to equate an emotionally fueled crime (THREATENING to
shoot a relative) with pedophilia and rape?
How can you consider those crimes to be on the same level? You've never
been so pissed off at a relative that you said or did something you
regretted doing after? You never got into a brawl with an older brother
or cousin and threatened violence after the ass whoopin? You never once
yelled "I'll kill you" during one of those fights? The fight would
happen one would win one would get his come uppance, and after a few
days the whole thing would blow over.
Does a brawl with relatives place you on the same level with a rapist
or child rapist?
In Robert's case the situation apparently didn't blow over. It must/may
have been a lot worse than a family rumble if it resulted in a
conviction, or it could have been a combination of an  overzealous
prosecutor, Robert's not knowing when to stop running his mouth, and
family hysterics.
We don't know. All we can do is guess, but associating one crime with a
sex crime is a tad extreme. It's like when I fabricated a story about
him being questioned in Philly for pedophilia. I was laughing when some
of the morons here took that bait and ran with it. In a matter of days
the story became Gospel and can still be found floating around out
there.
Robert shot back with a loony story of his own about how I was in a New
Mexico jail but his story didn't grow legs and ultimately fell within
hours.

I also doubt he's the only one here with a less than stellar rap sheet,
and wouldn't be shocked to find out that others here have felony
convictions. The difference is his poking the beehive caused people to
check him out, and expose his skeletons. How many others would come out
from under the same scrutiny unscathed?

I always found the credentials to be a more enjoyable topic for
flaming. Robert does his embellishing here while most of us do it in
front of the customer. It's all a part of sales.
Anyone in this business who denies fudging a little here and there is
full of shit.

Last night I spent some time poking around Google Earth and was
laughing when I saw the abodes of some self-proclaimed ASA high
rollers. One bullshit artist has a circa 1970's Sears & Roebuck above
ground pool behind what could only be described as a less than
appealing residential dwelling.  Another one lives in such a small
house at first I thought it was a garage.
So puffery happens here all the time.
Robert's puffing is entertaining. The number of years in the business
is my favorite because it's like waiting for the daily lotto number.
Other guys here puff when they talk about jobs they are working on, or
have worked on. If 10% of the shit spewed here was true there wouldn't
be enough time for any of them to post. I have loads of free time
because I use double sided tape and hide panels under beds but some of
the full perimeter hardwire blowhards are doing nothing more than
repeating stories they have heard and interjecting themselves into the
equation.
I run into CCTV slammers every day of the week who sell 4 camera dvr
systems for under 2000.00 but there are guys in here boasting of the
10,000.00 + jobs they get contracted for. Dude I'm in NYC and these
jabronies are in Puddlefuck Utah or some place like that. My market is
the largest market in the world and I don't see jobs like they
describe.
Why don't they get called on it? Because they don't poke the beehive.
It still doesn't take away from them being full of shit.
This newsgroup is a house of cards with more jokers than aces.

Google Earth his house though. Not too bad at all.
If his being a pain in the ass in this newsgroup got him that house I
doubt you will see a change in him anytime soon.

And the place would be a snoozefest if he didn't push buttons. Look at
that home automation newsgroup. The one with the geeks posting about
their latest Mr Wizard exploits where they can flush the toilet by
remote control. He behaves in there and it's like a funeral parlor.
I said this before and I will say it again, if push came to shove I'd
pay for his medical treatments just to keep the controversy flowing in
here. He's like the guy who sits in the dunking booth. He pisses you
off with his mouth and then he gets soaked when you pop the bullseye
with the baseball. The carnival would be boring without it, and at the
end of the day he goes home with cash.

Now it appears I am in for more free time today than I expected since
my equipment hasn't arrived yet so my choices are either watching Maury
Povich or fussing on the newsgroup. Hopefully some of you knuckleheads
are here to keep me entertained.
