1. How do you know the panels they "unlock" are "proprietary"?
2. Whom do they "rent" the "proprietary programmers" to? And why would any
self respecting alarm dealer want to re-use some of the "junk" that's out
there (I'm referring of course to "AlarmForce, Brinks, and NextAlarm")?

As long as they don't "shill" their products, I've no problem. I note that
most seem to respect the FAQ. The two exceptions are _both_ idiots.

On that we can agree. I don't think any distributor should be selling
product to someone that isn't licensed (or qualified) in their
State/Province.
