Actually these boards aren't locked out. I have the dealer code from the
original installer. They lock up and quit working. I never get the chance
to enter the code. They just die. DMP has me measure the voltage across a
couple of the leads and then they pronounce the processor locked up. Not
locked out. They say the board must be replaced. I replace it with another
brand. I am a servicing dealer so I can buy replacement boards, but the
lack of cooperation or support I have received along with other behavior has
caused me to eat the extra cash to put in something else a little better and
more flexible when that happens. In fact tech support is the only part of
the company where I have received decent support from them. They can't tell
me why this happens though or what can be done to prevent it. The tech guys
just go, "well sorry."
