Integrating Alarm Wiring Into A New Home

I am building a new home this year (floor plan located here:

and am looking for general advice regarding alarm systems.

The builder will prewire the house for about $500 which includes window
breakage prewire.  Is this reasonable?
Has wireless alarm systems reached a price and relaiablity level that
make prewire unnecessary?
Also any advice on where to locate the sensors/panels/motion prewire on
this two story with basement walkout would be greatly appreciated.
