Maybe he's just someone who cares about others and believes (mistakenly?)
that posting his beliefs in USENET will help.  I know people who hand out
tracts in their spare time, hoping to win someone to Christ.  What they do
doesn't hurt anyone and it *might* help someone so I figure, what the heck.

Unfortunately, posting the salvation messages to multiple USENET groups is
not a particularly effective way to reach anyone IMO.
