xPL4Linux V1.2 Available

Howdy,
The xPL4Linux C language framework V1.2 is now available. xPL4Linux
provides most of the functionality an xPL app needs (configuration isn't
quite finished, but everything else is). The new release includes bug
fixes
and support for some of the proposed xPL changes include device version
advertising and device discovery.
Also available is a new Linux xPLHub. This hub has been designed to be as
robust as possible. When started, it a supervisory task begins that
launches the actual hub and monitors it's health. If the hub stops
responding, the supervisor will restart a new hub to take it's place.
Because the supervisor itself has been kept very simple and much as been
done to the hub to make it stable, you can have just about 100% uptime of
the hub (for most folks, it will be 100% uptime). The supervisor fills a
roll similar to the Services subsystem in Windows. The Hub does not
require
xPL4Linux to be installed and includes pre-built binaries as well as the
source code.
Finally, the Linux HomeVision server (hvsrv) and Linux Statnet server
(tsrv)
have had their xPL implementation upgraded to support the new xPL4Linux
features (including advertising their version properly).
