Re: Changes to Protocol Docs - a Summary

I like that plan - especially for diagnostics and maintenance (both
vital for an improved end-user experience)

The xplDiag program would then be able to compare the application
revision with what is supported by the vendor XML (after checking
that the Vendor XML itself is up to date, of course), and can then
advise on updates that are available, and also if that version has
been made obsolete (i.e. no xml entry fo a version that old).

As a side note, in a major/minor/revision system, isn't
"revision"
usually a build number that increments each time - meaning it never
resets back to zero, even when the major or minor numbers change?
