Same here.

I can't see any benefit at all to having multiple hubs - it's just
more things to go wrong.  The standalone would also allow the Java
apps to co-exist properly with the .NET stuff.

Although I was the one who suggested including it with all
downloads, as DirectX is included with games, I'm fine with having
it as a separate download.

I do think we should have a "Basic xPL" install package available
though.  It would contain the standalone hub + xPLHal and anything
else deemed essential (perhaps an xPL validator, to report things
that are not working - much easier if you know where the hub should
be!).  That would save newbies from hunting for all the bits and
pieces, and the  documentation (or validator) could advise on
solutions to common problems (firewalls etc).
