IIRC xpl-probe is the only app using the -com port?
This simply puts a delay in to deal with a timing issue with
opening/closing/opening the port for an mss100 we were seeing
Xpl-tom10 isn't one of mine, so can't comment on whether it supports -com
-com support is not part of the standard xpl-devcom app
