xPLMediaNet - Upgrade to v2.2

  • Subject: xPLMediaNet - Upgrade to v2.2

Hi all,

Have just published an update to all the dll's in xPLMediaNet, please
upgrade when convenient.

The upgrade zip is at:

http://www.xplhal.com/xplmedianet/UPDATE_200509041500.zip

(if that wraps it's on the history page for xplmedianet at www.xplhal.com)

To upgrade simply stop the service, unzip into the folder where xplmedianet
is installed (this will overwrite the service exe and all dll's), then
start
the service.

This zip will also replace index.htm in the webserver, and all device
keymap.xml files - so if you've amended any of these files please back them
up before the update!

If there are any problems (shouldn't be) please check that the file
xplmedianetshared.dll ONLY exists in the main xplmedianet folder and NOT in
any sub-folders (original testers may have these!)

The MVP and associated sources and stuff will hopefully be released next
weekend sometime (still got some things to do, but it's lookin good -
really
good, even if I do say so myself ;-) ) and the above patches must be
installed before installing MVP support (or any other future update).

Those with MVP's will also need to obtain the latest DONGLE.BIN from the
current (non-beta) install package on hauppuages website (winzip can open
the installer and extract the single file) as this supports better
compression of images - and is the only version I know for sure is
compatible with xplmedianet.

I'll issue a special mvp install package when it's ready, which will be the
mvp stuff only.

Regards
Tony
