Hmmm.

I don't know about you guys, but I was thinking of these images as
logo/graphics for bigger usage such as banners, splash screens - that sort
of thing.

For Icons, I would much rather gather together a selection of submitted
icons (and a couple of the logos in the competition would indeed make good
icons!) and make the "icon pack" a downloadable resource for
developers.

Ian.

Howdy,

I agree that the size of typical use of the images should be considered
when
voting. I've scaled a few of them to smaller sizes and I can say that
while
many are very attractive at the full size, often when shrunk down, it
because difficult or impossible to read/understand/recognize the image.

For myself, I found two that were simple/clean enough that they survived
shrinking down to tiny sizes with virtually no loss of recognizability.

While it may not be practical/possible to post 32x32 and 16x16 versions of
each entry, I do urge folks to think about them that way and if you have a
favorite, try shrinking it and insuring it's clear and readable (by someone
who otherwise may not know anything else about xPL) at smaller sizes.
