The W800 service doesn't do any remapping - it just puts whatever codes it
receives in the xPL message.

However, X10 security remotes don't actually send X10 messages (they just
send a device code and key code), so the W800 service sends a remote.basic
rather than x10.basic message.  I don't know if that makes any difference
to
what might need doing to solve Bob's issue.

A late addition for an enhancement  request...

This one is for the w800 users ..Bobs request .........

Apparently when batteries are replaced in the x10 wireless ds10 switches
they get assigned a new address so Bob wants to store the address in a
Global  and ref the address via another Global ...?? Below is his
post....Mal might be able to clarify or Bob if hes around
